Parents and Community

Golf Marathon Participants 2012
Even though Young Life & WyldLife & Capernaum are especially for teens, parents and other adults in the community are vitally important to Young Life. Adults can support Young Life in a variety of ways — by becoming a Volunteer Leader or a Committee member, by attending a Young Life fund-raising event, by inviting others to Young Life fund-raising events, by participating in our annual Golf Marathon, by hosting a Leadership Team for a meal, providing snacks for our Leadership meetings, or by simply telling others in the community about Young Life and its commitment to teens.

How Can I Help?

Adult involvement is the lifeline for Young Life, WyldLife & Capernaum in our area. Young Life begins and stays in a community because of adults—because of their love for lost teens in their community and their commitment to Young Life’s vision of reaching every kid, everywhere for Christ. The time commitment is minimal, but the rewards are eternal.

Metro Committee

One way adults in the community can become more involved with Young Life is by joining the Metro Committee.  The Metro Committee’s purpose is to share ownership of the local ministry through providing vision and direction, prayer, setting & raising the local budget, promoting Young Life & WyldLife & Capernaum in the community, assisting Staff & Leaders, and ensuring the integrity of the local ministry, as well as providing ministry support to the Leadership Team as they minister to teenagers. See Committee page for more information.
